for North American Autos and advertising materials. For us to be successful, we request that all persons, vendors, or entities respect the information and
specifications identified in this guide. If you are in need of brand assets, please search the Honda AdBuilder site.

may be expressly changed or modified for creative purposes by AHM or RPA for and in the best interest of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., at any time.
If you have questions regarding brand assets, AdBuilder, correct or incorrect usage, please contact Honda National Advertising and copy AHM IP Unit,

Correct Usage: Area of Isolation and Color
The Honda logo was the inspiration for our entire brand identity. Every additional element—typography, rounded corners, colors and mnemonic—was
derived from our logo. As demonstrated here, the clear space surrounding the signature on all sides must be greater than or equal to the height of the
letter “H” in Honda. It is important to maintain a sufficient amount of space around the signature so that it is distinct and easily identifiable at all times.

PMS 285 C
If you have any questions regarding correct or incorrect usage of the Honda identity, always refer to the Honda Style Guide.
Deviation from the standards is permissible only with written approval from the AHM Brand Dept. As an example, Honda Red PMS 186 may be used for
special instances like the Honda NHL co-branded assets.

There are no unimportant parts in a car. Take, for example, the piston ring—
a thin piece of metal whose main purpose is to fill the gap between a piston and
the cylinder wall. Every engine, whether it powers a multimillion-dollar race car or
an affordable environmentally conscious hatchback, relies on the durability of its
piston rings to function properly. They cost mere cents to make, but are just as vital
as the most expensive component. It’s no surprise, then, that the first company
Soichiro Honda founded made piston rings.
Mr. Honda went on to create Honda Motor Co., Ltd., based on the philosophy
that, to succeed, you must perfect the basics. This ethos has led Honda to build
engines that are raced in nearly every level of motorsports, from go-karts to
the NTT INDYCAR® SERIES. This is not simply a clever “win on Sunday, sell on
Monday” marketing strategy. The close tie between Honda automobiles and Honda
Performance Development™ creates a free flow of ideas and engineering knowhow that benefits both our race cars and our production cars. The connection is

Vehicle performance means nothing without confidence. Whether it’s at
the track, on the road, or even off-road, a vehicle’s main purpose is to inspire
that sense of confidence in the driver. This is no easy feat, and the pursuit of it
has led to an inseparable relationship between Honda automobiles and Honda
Performance Development.™ While the vehicles Honda races may seem to have
little in common with those driven on the road, the knowledge and philosophy
learned on the track carry over to the streets—and vice versa. Take, for example,
the Honda Racing Baja Ridgeline, a 550-horsepower twin-turbocharged truck
that races across hundreds of miles of desert. The heart of this raucous racer
is built upon the same engine block and heads as the road-going Ridgeline.
Some might say this is wasteful over-engineering; we say it’s over-engineering
at its finest. After all, we designed the Ridgeline with a goal in mind: to never
get stuck. So it has to be capable of far more than a trip to the hardware store.

so strong that many of the cars we develop for racing competitions are based on
our mass-produced cars, utilizing many of the same key engine components, from
turbochargers to piston rings. This means the Honda you drive has been built with
the same passion for performance that goes into our race cars.
When it comes to the NTT INDYCAR® SERIES, no other manufacturer comes
close to the success of Honda: 252 victories, 17 drivers’ titles, 9 manufacturers’
championships, and 13 Indianapolis 500® wins. In 2023, Honda will begin racing
a new 2.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 hybrid engine in the series, part of our
commitment to continue our lead in performance innovation. The lessons we
learn on the track will make their way into our production cars, the same way our
dedication to engineering excellent automobiles makes its way to the track—
just as Soichiro Honda intended. As a competitive racer himself, he believed in
his heart that “racing improves the breed.” It’s this spirit that will keep Honda
at the forefront of racing technology, perfecting the basics, even when the time of
piston rings and internal combustion is far behind us.
This philosophy of rugged practicality carries over to every part of the
Ridgeline, particularly the intelligent Variable Torque Management™ (i-VTM4®)
all-wheel-drive system, which helps to improve stability and control through
torque vectoring. At any moment, a system of clutches will engage to send as
much as seventy percent of the engine’s power to the rear axle, then up to one
hundred percent of that power to the left or right wheel. This gives you four
independent points of traction, each receiving the appropriate amount of torque
needed to help pull you through difficult terrain. Quite simply, the Ridgeline is
designed to give you the confidence to actually exploit its rugged capabilities.
Ironically enough, the iVTM-4 vastly improves on-road performance as well
by sending power to the outside wheels during hard cornering, much like the
sports-car breed. Coupled with a first-in-class independent rear suspension and
a lightweight unibody structure, one might say the Ridgeline is more agile than
a truck needs to be. But it’s just the type of “over-engineering” we put into every
Honda, from the ones driven on the road to the ones raced in the desert.

CTA Guide
The Honda Brand CTA GUI Template has been created and established for the sole purpose of maintaining a united, recognizable,
and consistent U.S. brand market image. To ensure its success, discard any and all prior Honda CTA reference assets, excepting the
FPO pill assets used only for the Honda Autos Site. Use only this art resource.
Specifications:
For consistent application, please use the GUI assets in this template, which have been ordered from most common use to least
common. This represents the preferred language. If a CTA with language other than that available below is to be created or edited,
be sure to seek approval prior to use and application.
Only use the radius box CTAs provided in this template for any and all digital communications. This includes: banners,
social posts, e-blasts, microsites, games, events and activations, kiosks, personal data capture, desktop, tablet or
mobile consumer-facing assets. In other words, everything except the Honda Autos Site.
• Do not use any past pill, square, or different-colored CTAs. Do not take CTAs from existing final art.
• Do not change colors or create your own.
• Do not change the size of any of these assets; maintain communication consistency.
• Do not scale or distort any assets.
• Do not use or create different-sized CTAs when using multiple CTAs.
Area of Isolation:
As demonstrated (right), the clear space surrounding the CTA is equal to twice the height of the typography. It’s important to
maintain a sufficient amount of space around the CTA to ensure that this button or object is distinct and easily identified at all
times.
Quick Facts:
• CTA should be written in all caps
• Tracking: 25px
• Font family: Avenir Next Rounded Medium
• Minimum font size: 12px
• Maximum font size: 25px
• Area of isolation: double the height of X in all directions
• Chip used for units with heights >60px
• Outline of CTA is a 2px stroke, aligned inside
• There’s a 20% reduction from XL to L, and a
40% reduction from L to M
• XL height is 54px, with a 4º curve
• L height is 43px, with a 4º curve
• M height is 27px, with a 4º curve
XL
Actions and Rollover States:
Each CTA’s layered file includes the appropriate action, rollover or hover state, and response state. Only use these actions.
SHOP NOW
Other actions, such as shimmers, bounces, twinkles, gradient ramps, drop shadows or glowing edges, are not preferred but may
be incorporated with exceptions (e.g., if the client requested it, or if necessary to convey creative synergy). Please be sure to seek
approval before creating a different action.
Do not create a dimensional button. Use the provided flat art only.

Model Badge Isolation
The perimeter isolation distance is equal
to the distance between the topmost,
tallest letter and the model name.
Or 1/9 the width of the model name.
Correct Usage: Area of Isolation
It is important to protect our brand and maintain a sufficient amount of space around each model badge. The area of isolation is
designed to set a perimeter at which all other intrusions must cease. This ensures that the badge is distinct and easily recognizable
at all times. The height is indicated and always proportional regardless of presented size.

Logo Isolation
Correct Usage: Area of Isolation
It is important to protect our brand and maintain a sufficient amount of space around our identity. The area of isolation is designed to set a perimeter at
which all other intrusions must cease. This ensures that our brand is distinct and easily recognizable at all times. The perimeter isolation distance is equal to
the height of the Honda Sensing® combined logotype. The height is indicated and always proportional regardless of presented size.

Correct Usage: Area of Isolation and Color
The Honda Genuine Parts + Service logo uses the strength of the Honda Brand Logo combined with Genuine Parts + Service to convey that Genuine can
only come from Honda. The single rounded corner is a reference to the distinctive wave pattern on the Honda dealership as well at the rounded central
pillar of the Honda dealership. The mix of rounded and hard angles are recognizable elements of the Honda dealership. The logo helps reinforce this
identity, building uniformity and greater brand recognition.
