INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SUNSHADE SEP. 2006 CR-V Parts List Rear sunshades (2) Quarter sunshades (2) Tailgate sunshades (2) Frame clips (8) Short flat clips (4) Long flat clips (2) Primer Sunshade bag Tools and Supplies Required • Scale • Shop towel • Felt-tip pen Before You Begin Customer Information • In these instructions, the illustrations show the left side sunshade being installed. The same procedure applies to the right side sunshade. • This kit should only be installed if the ambient air temperature is 15°C (60°F) or above. Heat the bonding surfaces with a hair dryer set on LOW when the ambient air temperature is below 15°C (60°F). • Before attaching the sunshades, thoroughly clean the bonding surfaces with a contact cleaner. To prevent spilling, use a shop towel to apply the cleaner and allow it to dry thoroughly before installing the sunshades. Wipe up spilled cleaner at once. • Be extremely careful not to damage the body paint finish. • To allow the adhesive to “cure”, do not install the sunshade for 24 hours. © Honda Access Corp. 2006 08R10-SWW-6001-96 1/5 Installation FLAME CLIP ATTACH POSITIONS (4) Clean the sure face with a primer. DOOR SASH Install the rear door sunshade 1. 2. Open the left rear door. Check the positions where the frame clips are attached and clean the surfaces with a primer. LEFT REAR DOOR 3. 4. Measure each frame clips installation position to the dimensions shown. Remove the adhesive backing from each frame clips. Align the edge of the frame clips with the mark on the door sash, and attach the frame clips on the door sash. • Hold the adhesive tape of the frame clip back side firmly against the door sash after attaching the frame clip. LEFT REAR WINDOW Align the mark. DOOR SASH FLAME CLIP FLAME CLIP FLAME CLIPS (4) DOOR SASH ADHESIVE BACKINGS (4) Remove. DOOR SASH Align the mark. FLAME CLIP Align the mark. FLAME CLIP DOOR SASH 6529030E 7. 8. Install the rear sunshade. Repeat the steps 1 through 7 on the right side. FLAME CLIPS (4) REAR SUNSHADE 6529040E 08R10-SWW-6001-96 3/5 Install the quarter sunshade Install the two short flat clips on the quarter sunshade as shown. 10. Insert the two short flat clips into the gap between the left rear quarter glass and left rear quarter pillar garnish as shown. 11. Repeat the steps 9 through 10 on the right side.
