PERFORMANCE
Refined Aerodynamics
The GS has been significantly reengineered to deliver a driving experience like
no other. In addition to enhancing the torsional rigidity of the bodyshell, Lexus
developed an airflow management concept called ‘aerodynamic damping’.
Inspired by the Lexus LFA V10 supercar, it moves airflow close to the vehicle
body to enhance handling, smooth the flow in and around the wheel arches,
and reduce air pressure within the arch itself. The resulting effect not only
HOME
BOOK A TEST DRIVE
enhances steering response, but also creates a flat ride and refines road holding,
producing a low drag coefficient. The AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension system),
available on F SPORT and Sports Luxury, was also optimised with two damper
settings to enable drivers to fine-tune the ride characteristics: ‘Normal’ mode for
everyday driving comfort; and ‘Sport S+’ mode for excellent body control and
precise response to steering input.
EV Drive Mode
Benefiting from Lexus leadership and innovation in Full Hybrid technology, the GS 450h
delivers breathtaking performance thanks to its powerful Lexus Hybrid Drive. Comprising
a 3.5 litre V6 direct injection Atkinson Cycle engine and high output electric motor, this
combination provides a total system output of 254kW for an exciting drive. Acceleration is
smooth and incredibly rapid, yet fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced.
It also features EV (Electric Vehicle) Drive Mode.
Dynamic power, paddle shift switches
Smooth and very rewarding to drive, this dynamic
performance sedan is fitted with a 3.5 litre V6 available
in petrol or with a Lexus Hybrid Drive, or 2.0 litre
turbocharged engine that delivers highly responsive
power, enabling it to accelerate quickly up to top speed.
The GS 300 and 350 come equipped with rear wheel
drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission featuring
paddle shift switches and Multi-mode Automatic

PERFORMANCE
Start up, driving off
How does the Lexus Hybrid Drive work?
When starting off, the electric motor can propel
the GS 450h up to normal driving speeds with
electric power being supplied from the hybrid
battery. At this point the vehicle uses no gasoline
and produces zero emissions1.
Normal driving conditions
At normal driving speeds the smooth 3.5 litre
V6 direct-injection Atkinson Cycle engine cuts
in almost silently, but still receives assistance
from the electric motor when required. Through
the excellent distribution of its gasoline and
electric power sources, the GS 450h provides
extraordinary driving excitement – together with
low emissions and modest fuel consumption1.
HOME
BOOK A TEST DRIVE
Full throttle acceleration
Accelerate, and the 147kW power2 of the electric
motor instantaneously supplements the 215kW of
the 3.5 litre V6 engine. Together, they deliver a
potent surge of torque to provide breathtakingly
fast linear acceleration right when you need it.
Deceleration, stopping, braking
When decelerating or coming to a halt, the engine
turns off, cutting emissions1 to zero. Brake, or take
your foot off the accelerator pedal, and regenerative
braking harnesses the kinetic energy lost in other
cars. It converts this into electrical energy for storage
in the hybrid battery, which is one reason why you
never need to recharge a Lexus Full Hybrid.

Regenerative braking
When braking or decelerating, kinetic energy which
would otherwise be lost as heat is recovered by the
high-output generator as electric energy. This is
stored in the hybrid battery for later use when
driving in EV Drive Mode, or accelerating hard.
Power control unit
The brain of the Lexus Hybrid Drive, the power control unit
constantly optimises the allocation of power resources –
whether electric, gasoline, or a combination of both. It also
manages the process of charging the compact hybrid
battery while the GS 450h is being driven.
EV (Electric Vehicle) Drive Mode1
With sufficient battery charge, EV Drive Mode
lets you drive at low speeds using only electric power.
EV Drive Mode is whisper-quiet, emission-free and
consumes no fuel2. It is suitable for driving in slowmoving traffic or residential areas at night, as well
as tunnels or enclosed car parks.1

LDH1 (Lexus Dynamic Handling system)
LDH elevates driving performance to a new dimension. Together with EPS
(Electric Power Steering), VGRS (Variable Gear Ratio Steering) and DRS
(Dynamic Rear Steering) control all four wheels independently. At low to medium
speeds, the front and rear wheels turn at slightly opposing angles. This significantly
reduces the turning radius for excellent manoeuvrability at low speeds, while
sharpening the steering feel when driving along winding country roads.
At higher speeds, the system calculates the optimum vehicle angle from vehicle
speed and steering inputs, and applies front and rear steering control to provide
stability and lend agility to the drive. This contributes to composed lane changing
and agile cornering at high speeds.
Sport S/Sport S+ Modes1
If you are in the mood for dynamic performance, select Sport S/Sport
S+ Modes and the GS immediately retunes powertrain and handling
characteristics for sports driving. Sport S Mode revises throttle mapping
and transmission shifting priorities to harness the sports capabilities of the
powertrain. Sport S+ Mode enhances handling characteristics with a sports
setting of the AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension system), EPS (Electric
Power Steering) and VDIM (Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management),
together with the powertrain settings of Sport S Mode.1
Drive mode select
You can tune the performance of the GS to suit your driving mood. Eco Mode
helps reduce emissions and fuel consumption2 while you drive in a relaxed manner.
Sport S Mode adjusts the powertrain for more responsive driving, while Sport S+ Mode
also controls the chassis and EPS for an exceptionally engaging drive. In addition,
Customize Mode enables drivers to set their preferred settings.3
Eco Mode
The GS features a drive mode select on the centre console that allows
you to choose between Eco, Normal, and Sport S/Sport S+ Modes1,
optimising either the car’s environmental efficiency or dynamic
capabilities. In Eco Mode, the engine output and gear selection are
automatically adjusted to optimise fuel efficiency in various driving
conditions. The air-conditioning, airflow volume, and ventilation fan
are intelligently controlled to further reduce fuel consumption2.

AHB (Automatic High-Beam system)1
Available on Luxury grades, AHB helps safe driving at night by instantly switching
from high to low beam when the lights of an oncoming vehicle or the tail lights of
a vehicle in front are detected.
1
AHS (Adaptive High-beam System)1
The F SPORT and Sport Luxury grades come with AHS. When the system detects a
vehicle in front, it disables/enables independent LEDs in each headlamp to optimise
light distribution, so that the high beams do not directly illuminate preceding or
oncoming vehicles when driving at night. While AHS is activated, the low beams
are always on.
Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection1
When the millimetre-wave radar and monocular camera sensors detect
a collision with a vehicle or pedestrian ahead is likely, it alerts the driver and
activates pre-collision brake assist when the driver depresses the brake pedal.
If the driver cannot depress the brake pedal, it activates the pre-collision brakes.
SRS airbags
The GS F features dual-stage SRS airbags (front seats), SRS knee airbags
(front seats), SRS side airbags (front and outboard rear seats), and SRS
curtain shield airbags (front and rear door windows).
LKA (Lane Keeping Assist)1
LKA alerts the driver with a sensory alert using steering wheel vibration or a buzzer,
and on the multi-information display if the system judges the vehicle is about to
cross lane markings without using the turn signals, and assists steering to avoid lane
departure. In addition, Vehicle Sway Warning monitors steering operation and the
vehicle’s position within a lane to detect vehicle sway due to driver inattention or
drowsiness, and alerts the driver by a buzzer and on the multi-information display.
Radar Active Cruise Control1
In addition to maintaining a constant speed, Radar Active Cruise Control uses
the millimetre-wave radar and monocular camera to detect a vehicle driving ahead
and maintain an appropriate distance between vehicles.
Blind Spot Monitor System1
When the quasi-millimetre-wave radars in the rear bumper detect vehicles in
adjacent lanes that aren’t visible in the door mirrors, the system activates an
LED warning indicator in the relevant door mirror the moment a vehicle enters
this blind spot.
RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert)1
To assist safe reversing, RCTA uses quasi-millimetre-wave radars in the rear
bumper to help detect approaching vehicles in difficult-to-see areas behind the
vehicle. When an approaching vehicle is detected, RCTA alerts the driver using
a buzzer and an LED indicator in the relevant door mirror.
Drive-start Control
If an abnormal shift change from R to D, D to R, N to R, P to D, or P
to R range is detected while accelerating, a warning is displayed in
the multi-information display and power output is reduced to limit
acceleration, helping to avoid a collision.1
AL-TPWS (Auto Location-Tyre Pressure Warning System)
AL-TPWS contributes to tyre life and fuel efficiency by
displaying the pressure of each tyre in the multi-information

and aluminium, and incorporated iconic ‘F’ design elements.
Front on, the GS F exudes a powerful presence. The F-shaped motif in the grille
mesh, exclusive F jet black plating of the grille moulding, and wide, low-centre-gravity
stance of the front styling express a deepening of the ‘F’ story. From the side, the
sharp top and bulging lines of the low-set front fenders hint at the V8 power.
Their functional beauty smooths airflow, and contrasts with the hard surface of the
front bumper sides. The iconic L-shaped cooling outlets are integral to the excellent
aerodynamics and cooling performance. From the rear, the bumper lower garnish
highlights the symbolic quad exhaust diffusers, and expresses the wide low stance.
The use of CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic) and glossy dark metallic paint
on select exterior features further accentuates the functional beauty of the GS F.

5.0 litre V8 engine
The powerful output and excellent response of the naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 engine
generate a feeling of limitless acceleration and uninterrupted sports driving pleasure each time
you get behind the wheel. After assembly, each engine undergoes rotational balancing, helping
to achieve a finish that further refines smoothness and responsiveness. It integrates advanced
Dual VVT-i 3 (Intake side: VVT-iE3 ) for outstanding fuel economy 4, power and responsiveness.
The engine’s D-4S3 and Atkinson Cycle contribute to outstanding fuel efficiency4 when
cruising at normal speeds.
ASC (Active Sound Control)
ASC enriches the ‘Sound’ of the ‘F’ engine when driving. In Sport S+ Mode, it electronically
synthesises an exhilarating 3-dimensional sound to supplement the engine sound and exhaust
note based on engine speed, and distributes it through front and rear speakers in the cabin.
In Sport S and Customize Modes, it outputs the exhaust note through the rear speaker.
Engine and brake cooling
Brake cooling ducts integrated in the spindle
grille are sandwiched by an engine oil cooler
on the left and transmission oil cooler on the
right. Together with the large radiator grille, they
help to simultaneously achieve excellent cooling
performance and aerodynamic efficiency.
Overseas model shown.
Drive mode select
Drive mode select provides integrated control of multiple
systems to let you tune performance to suit your driving style.
You can select and change between four modes: Normal,
Eco, Sport S, and Sport S+ Modes. In addition, Customize
Mode enables drivers to set their preferred settings for the
powertrain, AVS1, EPS2, VDIM 2 and air-conditioning.
8-Speed SPDS (Sport Direct Shift)
To boost driving pleasure, the advanced 8-Speed SPDS has a
dual nature: an 8-speed automatic shifting mode with smooth
gear changes for agile driving, and an 8-speed manual shifting
mode for all-out sports driving. In D position with Sport S Mode,
G AI-SHIFT selects the optimum gear and downshift pattern.
VDIM with Sport Mode2
The VDIM advanced vehicle dynamics management
technology provides integrated control of the ABS2,
TRC2, VSC2, and EPS2 to help stabilise vehicle
behaviour in various driving conditions. The system
enables selection between four modes to match
the driving situation, from city streets to race
track: Normal, Sport, Expert, and TRC2 & VSC2
Off. Normal Mode provides smooth driving with a
high degree of active safety under normal driving
conditions. Sport Mode switches the control of
VSC2 and TRC2 to enhance confident sports driving
enjoyment on the race track. Expert Mode gives proactive slide control to sports drivers to help assist spin
reduction manoeuvres, contributing to aggressive
sporty driving with a margin of safety on the race track.

TVD (Torque Vectoring Differential)
For confidence-inspiring ‘F’ driving, even on the race
track, the GS F features an innovative TVD. The system
efficiently distributes the appropriate amount of torque
between the rear wheels regardless of whether the
accelerator is depressed, to help control the vehicle’s
orientation while cornering. TVD has three driving
modes to choose from. ‘Standard’ realises a refined
balance in vehicle behaviour between agility and
stability while cornering. ‘Slalom’ emphasises steering
response to mimic the nimbleness of a small vehicle.
‘Track’ emphasises consistent stable behaviour during

Aerodynamics
The outstanding aerodynamics and driving stability of the
GS F are the product of a relentless focus on optimising its
aerodynamics. Careful attention was paid to honing details,
including the brake cooling ducts, air outlets in the rear of the
front fenders that vent air from the engine compartment, front
spats and CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic) rear spoiler.
This attention to detail extends to the underbody. Optimising the
engine and floor under covers and the position of aero stabilising
fins creates a smooth air flow under the floor from the front
through to the rear.
AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension system)
AVS optimally controls the damping force of the shock
absorbers on all four wheels in response to driver input
and road surface conditions, contributing to excellent
ride comfort and handling.
Front and rear suspension
For dynamic high-performance ‘F’ sports driving that
feels right at home running corners on the race track, the
GS F is equipped with double wishbone front suspension
and multi-link rear suspension. In addition to the use of
exclusive components, each component was optimised
for rigidity and layout. They were then honed under
demanding conditions on race tracks around the world
to help provide excellent responsiveness, together with
outstanding ride comfort.
Disc brake
To provide the powerful braking performance and high fade
resistance required to race on the track, the large ventilated
disc brakes feature integrated monoblock aluminium calipers
and high-friction brake pads. With 6 opposed pistons on
the front and 4 opposed pistons on the rear, the aluminium
calipers contribute to both light weight and rigidity.
Slots in the discs help keep the brake pads clean, while
spiral fins contribute to the excellent cooling performance.
Personalising the GS F experience, calipers with the ‘F’
emblem are available in black.1
Body structure
A high rigidity body structure provides the foundation for the heart-pounding yet
approachable exhilaration of ‘F’ sports driving. Its outstanding rigidity is the product of
innovative production technologies, including laser screw welding, laser welding and body
adhesives. The addition of front and rear body braces with extra brace coupling points on
the front, together with extensive spot welding, further contribute to the responsive and
stable handling, as well as the refined ride comfort.

Carbon ornamentation shown available as an additional cost.
In the GS F, each element has been designed with the elegance and sporting prowess of ‘F’ in mind.
The ‘integrated foaming’ structure of high-back front sport seats optimises the body support and holding performance required for
sports driving. Distinctive stitching and exclusive headrests emblazoned with the ‘F’ emblem express the unique quality of the F marque.
Exclusive aluminium pedals and an ergonomic steering wheel help support accurate control on the race track. Providing precise driving
information, the content displayed on the large diameter TFT (Thin Film Transistor) tachometer changes with the selected drive mode.
The GS F also provides you with the refined practicalities required of a premium Lexus sedan. The centre armrest in the rear seats folds
down to reveal cupholders and convenient controls for rear seat passengers. The ample luggage space has a convenient boot-through
for carrying longer items.
Remote Touch Interface
Simple operation that includes enter switches integrated
on both sides and a back switch lets users interact
intuitively with the navigation and audio systems on the
12.3-inch EMV display, for easy control of the systems.
Colour head-up display
The large colour head-up display projects a range of frequently
checked driving information and warnings on the lower windshield
glass in the driver’s line of sight. In addition, two exclusive ‘F’ Sport
Mode displays show the tachometer and shift range or the shift
range and rev indicator.
DISCOVER MORE ABOUT THE GS
Metres
The ‘F’ driving experience is enriched by the large central colour TFT
(Thin Film Transistor) tachometer. This is enclosed in a large diameter ring
machined from aluminium with a stainless steel finish that gives it a deep metal
lustre. The design of the tachometer and the content it displays change with
the selected drive mode, enhancing visibility and usability. The position of
the information, and the size of fonts and indicators displayed were finetuned to provide quick confirmation of vehicle performance at a glance.
Normal Mode
In Normal Mode, the colour TFT tachometer features large speed
and shift selection displays in the centre. The tachometer occupies
270 degrees of the dial, providing a wide scale that enhances
visibility at all RPMs.
Aluminium pedals
The slit pattern of the aluminium pedals contributes to
excellent functionality during pedal operation. It helps
to suppress foot slippage while supporting smooth
and secure movement, contributing to the feeling of
sporting control.
Sport S+ Mode
The metre switches to a bold simple design
suited to race track action, with bar-style
tachometer for heightened visibility, and shift
selection, speed, water and oil temperature
displays arranged in the centre. The shift
indicator is shown on both sides of the shift
selection display.
58
Sport S Mode
As quick shifting is at the heart of sports
driving, the larger shift selection display in
the centre is set above the speed display.
A 3-stage rev indicator changes from yellow
to orange to red to visually communicate
shift timing to the driver.
Eco Mode
The exclusive Eco Mode indicator encourages
and reflects eco-friendly driving with a dynamic
display. The more aggressive the acceleration,
the less the blue indicator is displayed.
Luggage space
Befitting a premium sports sedan, the ample boot
space easily accommodates 9.5-inch golf bags
and sports bags. A boot-through also enables the
carrying of longer items. The wide-opening boot lid
helps with easy loading and unloading. The power
boot lid can be opened using a switch on the
Electronic Key or in the instrument panel.

Every Lexus is based on an uncompromising
approach to creating premium automobiles.
Inspired by our ‘Yet’ philosophy, we seek
innovation in every facet of engineering through
a sophisticated fusion of seemingly incompatible
ideas such as ‘high performance yet high fuel
efficiency’ 1 . In addition, unique Lexus styling is
born of our L-finesse design language, a fine
balance of ‘leading-edge’ and ‘finesse’, so
that every Lexus is not only captivating and
luxurious, but also highly refined.
Finally, every individual Lexus model is also
measured against a set of internal standards
covering design, performance, specifications
and equipment, to confirm it is distinctive and
worthy of the Lexus emblem.
60
This pursuit of perfection is evident at every
stage of the manufacturing process.
Every Lexus vehicle is created with a masterful
skill and attention to detail inspired by both
traditional artisanship and state-of-the-art
engineering. For example, at the Tahara plant
in Japan, precision components made using
leading-edge digital technology are assembled
and finished by master craftsmen called
Takumi, whose technical expertise and

LEXUS OWNERSHIP SOLUTIONS
Lexus Ownership Solutions allows you to determine your finance costs and know the

c o n t r o l a n d c e r t a i n t y. I n s h o r t , e v e r y t h i n g y o u’ d e x p e c t f r o m L e x u s .
How does Lexus Ownership Solutions work?
• You choose the deposit that best fits your needs.
• You choose your term.+ +
• You decide on the estimated kilometres you think the vehicle will have travelled
at the end of the term (the End Odometer). The End Odometer will also include
any kilometres already on the vehicle.
• Lexus Financial Services (LFS) then determines the GFV of your vehicle and
calculates your monthly repayments with a final payment equal to the GFV.
The GFV is the minimum value of your Lexus at the end of your finance contract.
So, if you choose to return your Lexus at the end of the term, LFS will pay you the
GFV which will be put towards the remaining balance owing on your account
(subject to fair wear and tear conditions and agreed kilometres being met).
The end of the term? Simply replace, retain or return.
At the end of your term you can choose to:
• Replace or sell your Lexus using the trade-in value or sale price to pay
the remaining balance of your account.
• Retain your Lexus and simply pay the remaining balance of your account
(including final payment).
• Alternatively, return your Lexus and, subject to fair wear and tear conditions
and the agreed kilometres being met, we’ll put the GFV towards the final
payment on your account.
Choosing your deposit – what is best for you?
With the flexibility of Lexus Ownership Solutions, you can choose the deposit
that best fits your current needs.
• I f, for example, you have funds tied up in other investments, you can choose
to finance your new Lexus with a zero deposit.††
• Alternatively, by using a larger deposit, you can lower your monthly repayments.
• B etter still, compared to other finance options over a similar term with no
GFV or equivalent balloon final payment, Lexus Ownership Solutions can
provide lower monthly repayments.+++
Want more certainty?
With Lexus Ownership Solutions, you’ve got the reassurance that at the end
of the term (subject to fair wear and tear and agreed kilometres being met)
you’ll never owe more than your vehicle’s worth to LFS. In other words, you
don’t have to worry about what your vehicle will be worth in the future
because you know its minimum value from the outset.+
What happens in the case of the unexpected?
If your vehicle incurs damage and does not meet the Fair Wear and Tear
guidelines, LFS will give you the opportunity to have your vehicle repaired.
Otherwise, LFS can organise the repairs and deduct the cost from your
GFV. This adjusted GFV will then be the price that LFS will offer you if you return
the vehicle at the end of your term. Of course, if you retain the vehicle, the
condition doesn’t matter, however, if you replace it or sell it privately, the condition
will obviously impact your sale price.
So what does your accountant think?
Naturally, we think Lexus Ownership Solutions is an excellent, innovative way
to put you in control of buying a new Lexus. That said, we suggest you seek
independent advice to ensure Lexus Ownership Solutions is right for you.
Wouldn’t it be great if Lexus Ownership Solutions was just the beginning?
Lexus’ innovations and commitment to customer service extend well beyond
Lexus Ownership Solutions. Once you purchase a new Lexus, you’ll become
a member of the Lexus Encore Privileges Programme and enjoy a host of
exclusive benefits.†
