Intake Kit Installation Instructions: 2006 Lexus IS 250/350 2.5L/3.5L V6 Stage 2 Kit Part # 51/54-10992 Make: P.O. Box 1719 Corona, CA 92878 Support: 951-493-7100 www.aFefilters.com Model IS 250 IS 350 Lexus Year 2006 2006 Step 1 Engine 2.5L 3.5L Tools Required: 1 5/16 nut driver 1 10mm socket or wrench 1 Ratchet and extension 1 Flat head / slotted screwdriver 1 Phillips screwdriver 1 5/32 allen head key Step 2 Complete kit with parts. Complete stock intake. Step 6 Step 7 2 Part List: 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 Air filter (replacement # 24-55505) or Pro Dry STM 21-55505 Housing Adapter, Inj. molded Intake tube Reducer coupler (05-00835) Reducer coupler (05-00636) Clamp #052 Step 3 Carefully Remove 12 plastic push clips of the front engine cover. Set asside to re-install later when finished Step 8 1 1 2 2 3 2 1 2 Step 4 Remove engine cover by pulling away from engine, remove the 1 remaining push clip from intake cover. Step 9 Clamp #060 1 Clamp #072 1 Screw M6x1x12 Washer M6 Button Head screws M6x1x10 Screws M4x.7x16 Gasket, MAF Spacer nylon Trim seal 7/16 bulb x 24”L Trim rubber edge x 12”L Step 5 DIsconnect MAF sensor, w/ 10MM socket or wrench, loosen both clamps on factory intake tube. Carefully disconnect Crank case breather from tube and pull out the OE factory tube. Step 10 1 1)With 10mm socket or wrench, loosen bolt holding OE ram air unit. 2) Remove push clip. Pull out ram air unit and set asside to be re- intalled with new aFe housing. Step 11 Re-install OE ram air unit from step 6. Install new aFe Housing into place. Make sure housing slips on to OE ram air unit. With 10mm socket w/ extension, loosen 2 screws holding the OE airbox, Carefully pull out airbox. Step 12 With new hardware provided, take the two M6 screws and 10mm socket or wrench, tighten housing into place. With phillips screwdriver un-screw the 2 bolts holding MAF sensor, CAREFULLY pull out sensor. Step 13 Place couplers w/ Clamps provided onto both ends of intake and intall new aFe intake tube. Tighten clamps with 5/16 or slotted screwdriver. Re- install Factory crank case breather onto new aFe intake tube. Re-intall MAF sensor on to new aFe intake tube. With hardware supplied, make sure gasket and nylon spacers are between sensor and tube. Step 14 Install new pre-oiled air filter onto adapter in housing. Tighten using 5/16 or slotted screwdriver. Reconnect MAF sensor harness. Carefully Re-intall OE engine covers from steps 3 and 4. Install 5 1/2” adapter to housing using 3 button head screws with 5/32 allen wrench. Apply trim rubber edge seal to bottom and 7/16 bulb seal to top of housing. Step 15 Your installation is now complete. Check all clamps and connections. Periodically check all clamps and hoses. Note: Filter Cleaning and Re-oiling: When cleaning your aFe filter, be sure to use only aFe’s “Restore Kit” (aFe P/N: 90-50001 blue oil aerosol, or aFe P/N: 90-50501 blue squeeze bottle oil).
