CLOUD NAVIGATION Cloud Navigation provides you with the most up-to-date map data, routes and points of interest (POI) on your navigation system through real-time updates downloaded from the cloud. Use the voice-activated Intelligent Assistant or your touchscreen to search for directions, find POI or explore local businesses with route details, turn-by-turn guidance, alternate routes and live traffic updates. The newly designed interface has been completely re-imagined and is now more intuitive and easier to use. You will enjoy additional Cloud Navigation features such as: • Improved search capabilities • Customizable Cloud Navigation settings” • The ability to share arrival times with your contacts when paired with a Bluetooth-enabled device • A Traffic Route Bar within the POI details that provides a summary view of the traffic you can expect on that given route DESTINATION ASSIST Destination Assist gives you 24-hour access to a live response center agent to help you locate a specific business, address or point of interest. If you’re searching for a restaurant, the agent can help you narrow your choices by distance or type of cuisine and remotely send the destination to your vehicle’s Navigation System with Cloud Navigation. 3,5,6 See disclosures on back pages. 7 SAFETY CONNECT7 Whether you’re involved in an accident, your vehicle is stolen, or the unexpected occurs, assistance can be sent directly to your vehicle’s GPS location. An available Safety Connect subscription provides you with the following helpful features. Activate your included Safety Connect trial to experience these great features. STOLEN VEHICLE LOCATION Once a police report is filed, the Safety Connect Response Center works with police to help track and recover your stolen vehicle using Safety Connect’s embedded cellular and GPS technology. You may also contact the Response Center directly at 1-800-25LEXUS. This may help to recover your vehicle more quickly, minimizing the amount of damage incurred. The Stolen Vehicle Location system works throughout the continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico. ENHANCED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE With the added benefit of GPS technology, Lexus Roadside Assistance makes standard roadside service even more convenient than other services on the market. Whether your vehicle has run out of gas, has a flat tire, needs to be towed or requires a jumpstart, assistance can be sent to your vehicle’s location—all at the press of the Emergency Assistance button (SOS). EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE BUTTON (SOS) Whether you experience a health emergency, a traffic accident or another urgent situation where help is required, a single press of the Emergency Assistance Button (SOS) will connect you to a 24-hour Safety Connect response center agent. Using your vehicle’s GPS technology, the agent can send roadside assistance or emergency services to your vehicle’s location while remaining on the call with you until help arrives 8 7 See disclosures on back pages. SAFETY CONNECT 7 AUTOMATIC COLLISION NOTIFICATION In the event that your vehicle’s airbags deploy or you’re involved in a severe rear collision, the system is designed to automatically connect you to a Lexus Safety Connect response center agent. After attempting to speak to the occupants, the agent will notify local emergency services of the situation and direct them to your vehicle’s location. COLLISION ASSISTANCE If you are involved in an accident or your vehicle experiences damage from a collision, once the need for emergency assistance has been addressed, Collision Assistance can be launched via the Document Collision tile on the Dashboard of your Lexus App. The Lexus App can guide you through the collision documentation, insurance submission, and repair service lookup features. 7 See disclosures on back pages. 9 SERVICE CONNECT8 With an active Service Connect subscription, keeping up with your vehicle’s health has never been easier. Get updates on everything from fuel level and mileage to maintenance alerts and more via email or the mobile app. Activate your included Service Connect trial to experience these great features. VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT Your vehicle health report provides important information including fuel level, vehicle mileage, smart key battery status, engine oil quantity and more. You can view the reports on your desktop, tablet, or phone by visiting LexusDrivers.com or using the Lexus mobile app. For the ultimate in service convenience, you can choose to have a dealer automatically call you to help schedule a service or check the status of your vehicle. VEHICLE & MAINTENANCE ALERTS The best care is preventive. Available Lexus Service Connect provides vehicle alerts and maintenance alerts to both you and your dealer. Should you opt-in to this convenient service, your dealer can contact you directly to help keep your vehicle running at its best. 10 8 See disclosures on back pages. WI-FI CONNECT5,9 Activate the included Wi-Fi hotspot trial in your Lexus, and connect up to 5 compatible devices simultaneously to the internet at once with 4G LTE data. An active Wi-Fi Connect subscription is required for continued hotspot connectivity and integrated streaming after trial. 1. ENABLE WI-FI HOTSPOT 2. SET/CHANGE PASSWORD To set or change your Hotspot password, Use the vehicle display screen to turn on touch password on your screen. Enter your Wi-Fi Hotspot: Settings icon > Wi-Fi > Hotspot 1. On your vehicle’s multimedia display, select Settings (gear icon) > ‘Wi-Fi’ your desired password of at least 13 2. Select ‘Hotspot’ characters including letters and numbers. 3. Turn the ‘Hotspot’ toggle ON (Password and security settings can only be modified when the vehicle is Parked or moving <5MPH.) AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspot – Turning Hotspot On 3. SEARCH 4. SET UP Connect your device’s Wi-Fi settings to the Hotspot name shown on your vehicle’s display. Activate your trial or purchase a subscription through your Lexus app. (Current AT&T customers can add this subscription to an existing AT&T account.) Open your Lexus app and select “Account” to view your profile 2. Choose “Linked Accounts” 3. Select your streaming service to link, change default, or unlink an account 4. Select “Continue” to allow Lexus to use Apple or Amazon to sign in 5. Follow the Apple Music or Amazon Music login procedures MANAGE STREAMING SOURCE – In Vehicle For in-vehicle access, streaming accounts must first be linked to your Lexus profile within the Lexus app. To quickly change the default streaming source with an active Drive Connect6 subscription, simply wake up your Intelligent Assistant (say “Hey, Lexus”) or press the Push-to-Talk button, ask to “change source” and state Apple Music or Amazon Music. To manually change the source from your vehicle display, select the Settings gear > Sound & Media > Media. Then tap the three dots next to “Default source.” HYBRID RADIO Enables your Radio channels to seamlessly switch over to digital streaming. ASSISTANT – Common Voice Commands “Next Track” “Previous Track” 12 5,6,9,10,11 See disclosures on back pages. REMOTE CONNECT12 Available Lexus Remote Connect gives you access to advanced vehicle capabilities on your mobile device, including turning your vehicle on/off, turning horn and hazard lights on/off, locking/unlocking the trunk or back door, remote climate controls, child left notifications, guest driver monitoring and more. Remote Connect requires subscription after your included trial for continued use of these advanced features. ENGINE START/STOP Remotely start your vehicle with drive off to warm or cool the interior based on your preferred climate-control settings. VEHICLE FINDER Easily locate your vehicle on the street or in an uncovered parking lot using the Vehicle Finder map on your smartphone. GUEST DRIVER MONITOR Receive instant alerts if the vehicle is started or if it exceeds preset limits on speed, curfew, miles driven, engine run time, total elapsed time or distance from a set location. DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK Remotely lock and unlock your doors, receiving confirmation if the action was successful. When you unlock your Lexus remotely, the doors will automatically relock after 30 seconds if no further action takes place. VEHICLE STATUS AND ALERTS Remotely check the status of your vehicle’s doors, windows, moon roof, trunk, and hood, as well as the vehicle’s current fuel level, odometer or trip mileage. The system can also notify you with customizable alerts. REMOTE CLIMATE Initiate vehicle climate control settings before getting inside. Control your NX’s cabin temperature, defrosters, steering wheel heater and seat heaters/ventilators (if vehicle equipped), all from the Lexus app. NOTE: For key fob engine start/stop: Press the lock button twice and then hold it down on the third press; the vehicle will start or stop. 12 See disclosures on back pages. 13 REMOTE CONNECT12 Lexus Remote with Smartwatch Functionality Add Lexus to your smartwatch. • For Apple Watch13, select “Watch App” on phone. Select “Lexus” and toggle “Show App on Watch.” • For Android14, open “Play Store” on your watch and look for the “Apps on your phone” section. Select “Lexus” and click the arrow to install. 14 12,13,14 See disclosures on back pages. REMOTE CONNECT12 DIGITAL KEY Digital Key turns smartphones and mobile devices into smart key fobs for your NX using the Lexus app (see page 4). Unlock, lock, and start your vehicle within Bluetooth®,3 range of your Digital Key enabled device. You can also give access with other drivers by securely sharing Digital Keys in the Lexus app. DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK Easily open or secure your vehicle with permitted Digital Key and Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby—no fob necessary. Simply grip the driver’s door handle to unlock touch the sensor on the top of the handle to lock all doors. ENGINE START/STOP Simply press the Start button while your Digital Key and Bluetooth-enabled device is within the vehicle. SHARE & REVOKE DIGITAL KEYS Grant vehicle access to up to seven drivers at one time with secure Digital Key sharing in the Lexus app. Invite new users, manage access level (Unlock Only or Unlock & Start) and revoke key access under “Manage Key & Sharing” on the Remote Connect dashboard of your Lexus app. Invited users will receive a link via SMS to activate Digital Key in their Lexus app.19 Requires a registered Lexus account. Simply connect your iPhone 6 or newer to get directions, make calls, send and receive messages19 via Siri®,16 and to get access to popular apps like Apple Podcasts™.10 16 1. GETTING STARTED 2. CONNECT Ensure Siri is enabled on your iPhone under Settings > Siri & Search. Connect your iPhone to your vehicle with Bluetooth®,3 (page 3) or with an Applecertified USB cable. LAUNCH APP Tap “Yes” on the Enable Apple CarPlay prompt on your vehicle’s display. On future connection to this device, your vehicle display will automatically launch the CarPlay interface. (Choosing “No” sets your phone as a hands-free device for calls or media.) Now that CarPlay is active, you can tap on any app to launch it. If this popup is not shown, or if you want to change the setting later, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Device name on your multimedia system and change the “Use for Apple CarPlay” setting to ON. 5. ACTIVATE SIRI CarPlay features Siri voice control. To activate Siri, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on your steering wheel or display.* You can also access the Lexus Assistant using a short tap. * See your Owner’s Manual for Push-to-Talk details 5,15 See disclosures on back pages. 17 WIRELESS ANDROID AUTOTM,5,17 The Newest Android Accessory: Your Lexus With wireless Android AutoTM, you can seamlessly cast your device’s interface onto the vehicle’s multimedia display. Play music, send messages, navigate with Google Maps™ and request hands-free information through Google Assistant.14,18 1. GETTING STARTED 2. CONNECT – WIRELESS OR USB For phones with Android 9 or earlier, download the Android Auto app from the Google Play Store. Devices with Android 10 or later come with Android Auto built-in. Connect your Android phone to your vehicle wirelessly using Bluetooth®,3 (page 3) or directly with a certified USB cable. 3. ENABLE After enabling Android Auto from your mobile device, tap “Yes” on the Enable Android Auto prompt on your vehicle display. On future connection to this device, your vehicle display will automatically launch the Android Auto interface. (Choosing “No” sets your phone as a hands-free device for calls or media.) LAUNCH APP Once Android Auto launches, tap app icons to view the home screen, get directions, make calls, or listen to music. 5. Your vehicle may automatically detect available updates and notify you on-screen when powered on, or you may receive a push notification through the Lexus app. Software Update Procedure (Wi-Fi and Over the Air (OTA)): 1. Select the “Settings” icon in the lower left corner. 2. Scroll down and select “Software update.” 3. Confirm that the vehicle has software “Updates available.” 4. Select “Update Software.” 5. Select “Accept” on the Terms of Service menu. 6. If the “Wi-Fi required” message appears, connect the vehicle to an available Wi-Fi network, refer to “Connect Vehicle to Wi-Fi Network” on page 25. Wi-Fi required Please connect Wi-Fi to download. 20 SOFTWARE UPDATES 7. Wait for the update to download. The software will then be installed to the relevant components. Note: Do NOT turn OFF the engine or ACC BEFORE the software installation is complete. 8. When the “Software installation complete” banner pops-up, or the “Software update complete” screen is displayed, you have finished the software update. Note: If the vehicle displays the “Software update complete” screen, a restart of the vehicle is required to operate any of the infotainment functions. 21 SOFTWARE UPDATES Software Update Procedure (USB)20: 1. Insert a blank USB storage device to the vehicle’s USB port (refer to Owner’s Manual for location). 2. Select the settings icon in the lower left corner. 3. Scroll down and select “Software update.” 4. Confirm that the vehicle has software “Updates available.” 5. Select “Output info to USB memory.” 6. The “Outputting to USB Memory” message will appear while the download is in process. 7. Continue to wait until the “Output Complete” message appears. Select “OK.” 8. Remove the USB device from the vehicle. 9. Using a laptop or PC, insert the USB device. 22 20 See disclosures on back pages. SOFTWARE UPDATES 10. Go to www.lexus.com/firmware-updates 11. Select “Select a Vehicle.” 12. Input the vehicles VIN number OR input the vehicle model and model year. 13. Follow the instructions on the website to download the NEW software onto the USB device. 14. Remove the USB from the laptop or PC. 15. Re-insert the USB into the vehicle’s USB port. 16. Select the “Settings” icon in the lower left corner. 17. Scroll down and select “Software update.” 18. Select “Update software.” 23 SOFTWARE UPDATES 19. Select “Accept” on the “Terms of service” screen. 20. The software installation will now begin. Note: Do NOT turn OFF the engine or ACC BEFORE the software installation is complete. Do NOT remove the USB storage device until instructed. 21. Once the update is complete the “Software update” pop-up will appear. 22. Select the “OK” icon. The Software Update Procedure is now complete. You can remove the USB device from the vehicle. 24 SOFTWARE UPDATES Connect vehicle to a Wi-Fi Network9: 1. Park the vehicle within signal range of the desired Wi-Fi network. 2. Select the “Settings” icon in the lower left corner. 3. Select “Data & Wi-Fi.” 4. Select “Wi-Fi.” 5. Turn the Wi-Fi toggle to “ON” (slide to the right). 9 See disclosures on back pages. 25 SOFTWARE UPDATES Connect vehicle to a Wi-Fi Network (cont): 6. Select the Wi-Fi “network” that you would like to connect. 7. Follow the on-screen instructions to input your password. 8. A banner will appear once the vehicle has been successfully connected to the network. 9. You can now proceed to the Software Update Procedure (Wi-Fi). 26 TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT As a Lexus NX driver, there are several resources available to assist you with using and enjoying Lexus Connected Service4 products. Call your dealer and ask for a Lexus Technology Specialist. You may also contact them via the “Technology” page of your dealer’s website. This vehicle and technology expert will be happy to assist you to register and use Lexus Connected Service products. Lexus Technology Specialist services are complimentary.
