Front and rear suspension Individual components in the double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension were optimised to enhance the sports-focused characteristics of a coupe, with agile driving and refined ride comfort. Fine-tuning of components included the coil springs, stabiliser bars and bushings, and shock absorbers. Performance damper The front performance damper enhances rigidity and vibration damping performance, producing the exceptional handling stability at the heart of sports driving enjoyment. Drive mode select Drive mode select provides integrated control of multiple systems to let you tune performance to suit your driving style. You can select and change between three modes: Eco for fuel-efficient driving; Normal for balanced driving performance with fuel efficiency and Sport for sporty driving with enhanced steering feel and acceleration response. Aerodynamics The coupe’s outstanding aerodynamics was inspired by the concept of ‘aerodynamic handling stability’, using the airflow during high-speed driving to enhance vehicle stability and control. It required optimising the shape and layout of both individual components and the overall body. Among the many refinements are lip spoilers on the quarter window mouldings, careful shaping of the trunk and rear bumper, Disc brakes For powerful, reliable braking performance befitting a Lexus sports coupe, the disc brakes were fine-tuned to help enhance effective braking and control. High-friction pads on the F Sport model further contribute to the excellent stopping power and braking feel.1 ducts in the rear bumper, the positioning of aero stabilising fins on various parts of the body, and a keen focus on smoothing airflow on the underbody. The three high and low beam LEDs are stacked vertically in the compact unit. The integrated arrowhead L-shaped DRL and turn signal lamps enhance the feeling of depth, accentuating the elegant lines flowing from the fenders. LED rear combination lamps The L-shape flared design of the rear combination lamps emphasise the RC’s wide stance, smoothly flowing around to the sides to heighten their dynamic impact. Black fins shade the LED backup lamps and LED turn signal lamps to suppress their presence, further accentuating the signature L-shape of the rear and brake lamps. Rear bumper The wide, thin lines of the rear bumper lend the coupe’s powerful, firm-footed stance a light and elegant touch. Luggage space The RC has ample luggage space for a coupe, with room for two standard sized full-set golf bags, and can be expanded by folding down the 60/40 split rear seatbacks. One-touch walk-in function For easy access to the rear seats, the walk-in function automatically slides the front seat forward when the lever in the shoulder of the front seatback is activated. If the driver cannot depress the brake pedal, it helps activate the pre-collision brakes. LDA (Lane Departure Alert) with Steering Control1 LDA with Steering Control alerts the driver with a sensory alert using steering wheel vibration or a buzzer, and on the multi-information display, if the system judges the vehicle is about to cross the lane markings without using the turn signals. It assists steering to help avoid lane departure. RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert) 1 To assist safe reversing, RCTA uses quasi-millimetre-wave radars in the rear bumper to detect approaching vehicles in difficult-to-see areas behind the vehicle. When an approaching vehicle is detected, RCTA alerts the driver using a buzzer and indicator in the relevant door mirror. Blind Spot Monitor System1 When the quasi-millimetre-wave radars in the rear bumper detect vehicles in adjacent lanes that aren’t visible in the door mirrors, the system activates a warning indicator in the relevant door mirror the moment a vehicle enters this blind spot. PUH (Pop Up Hood) 1 When sensors in the front bumper determine that the vehicle has collided with a pedestrian, the hood instantly pops up to create a space to absorb the impact force, contributing to pedestrian protection. AHB (Automatic High Beam System)1 AHB helps safe driving at night by instantly switching from high to low beam when the lights of an oncoming vehicle, or the tail lights of a vehicle in front, are detected. All-Speed Radar Active Cruise Control1 In addition to maintaining a constant speed, All-Speed Radar Active Cruise Control uses the millimetrewave radar and monocular camera to help detect a vehicle driving ahead and maintain an appropriate distance between vehicles. How does Lexus Ownership Solutions work? • You choose the deposit that best fits your needs. • You choose your term, ranging from 1 - 4 years. • You decide on the estimated kilometres you think the vehicle will have travelled at the end of the term (the End Odometer). The End Odometer will also include any kilometres already on the vehicle. • Lexus Financial Services (LFS) then determines the GFV+ of your vehicle and calculates your monthly repayments with a final payment equal to the GFV. The GFV is the minimum value of your Lexus at the end of your finance contract. So, if you choose to return your Lexus at the end of the term, LFS will pay you the GFV which will be put towards the remaining balance owing on your account (subject to fair wear and tear conditions and agreed kilometres being met). The end of the term? Simply replace, retain or return.
