the pursuit of perfection.
It is a philosophy that extends well beyond
the confines of meticulously assembled sheet
metal. An approach to the automobile not
as a machine, but rather, an art form. Every
curve, deliberate. Every detail, inspired.
And where every aspect of the ownership
experience is intended to be as rewarding and
accommodating as the vehicles themselves.
Because while there are certainly easier ways
to build an automobile, pursuing perfection is
the only way to create a Lexus.
With outstanding craftsmanship and innovation
in every 2013 RX, you can experience the
comfort of owning a true luxury vehicle, and
enjoy all of life’s perfect moments.

Definitive
statement
Introducing the New RX
As the very first luxury crossover, the Lexus RX invented a language of its own. With its innovative approach
to design, safety and utility, the RX interpreted the needs of discerning drivers into a new expression of luxury.
For 2013, Lexus continues to evolve the RX, adding the all-new performance-oriented RX F SPORT to a model line
that includes the RX 350 and the RX 450h, the latest iteration of the world’s first luxury hybrid.

RX 350 F SPORT
RX 350
Advanced performance and technology
come together with the proven Lexus
Hybrid Drive System, delivering 295 total
system horsepower 11,13 with the efficiency
of a compact car.
F SPORT brings a new level of performance
to the RX. A bolder look inside and out,
backed by performance enhancements like
an eight-speed Electronically Controlled
Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) and
paddle shifters. The standard suspension
has been tuned for precise response.
Available late Summer 2012.
Luxury and style, meet performance and
versatility. The RX 350 features a 270-hp,
3.5-litre V6, six-speed sequential-shift
automatic, Dual Variable Valve Timing
with intelligence (Dual VVT-i) and
All-Wheel Drive.

all-new RX F SPORT
Look at it from any angle, and its form speaks volumes about its function. Behind the
aggressively-styled F SPORT mesh grille is a potent 3.5-litre V6 mated to an eight-speed
Electronically-Controlled Transmission with intelligence and paddle shifters that helps
enhance acceleration and response. Behind the F SPORT 19-inch alloy wheels with
Dark Graphite finish, the RX suspension system has been tuned to performance specs.
And behind the F SPORT name is the inspiration of Fuji Speedway, the legendary
racetrack where Lexus engineers pursue higher levels of precision.

Perform
Open the door of the RX 350 F SPORT and you enter a cabin that exudes performance
attitude: aluminum pedals, stylish leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and
F SPORT perforated black leather seats with contrast stitching. F SPORT engineering
sharpens the already nimble RX by adding larger stabilizer bars, performance dampers
and new bushings.

Advanced Technologies
It’s not enough for a luxury vehicle to surround its passengers in leather and wood trim –
though the RX does so elegantly. In the new 2013 RX, you’ll find advanced technologies
that go beyond its state-of-the-art information capabilities like the available Heads-up
Display which is designed to help you stay focused on the road. For added convenience,
the available dual-screen Rear–Seat Entertainment System 8 enables two video sources
to be viewed at the same time. Best of all, it comes equipped with wireless headphones.9

without compromise
When the first RX Hybrid was introduced, it made a statement: The world’s first luxury hybrid proved that
technology, innovation, and optimism can change how luxury is perceived. Now with the new 2013 Lexus
RX 450h, the RX hybrid is even further ahead of its time. With an intelligent Shift Control System and a new
Sport Mode, the RX 450h delivers even more dynamic performance.

The Power of h
By combining a powerful electric motor with an efficient gasoline engine, the
RX Hybrid’s Lexus Hybrid Drive System delivers a powerful 295 net system
horsepower 11,13 while providing the fuel efficiency of a compact car and nearly
70% fewer smog-forming emissions than a comparable gasoline or diesel vehicle.12
With innovation based on over 10 years of real world experience, Lexus hybrids
are not only advanced, but also proven. That’s the power of h.

All-Knowing. All-Conquering.
All-Wheel Drive
Active Torque Control AWD
On the RX 350 an Active Torque Control All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system efficiently manages the relationship of the
RX to the road. During normal traction conditions, it sends 100% of the engine’s power to the front wheels. But if sensors
detect a drive wheel that starts to lose grip, it will automatically reallocate up to 50% of the power from the front wheels
to the rear to help maintain traction. It’s so advanced, in fact, that it’s designed to predict your course around a turn and
proactively distribute torque to the rear wheels to help keep you on your intended path.

Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management16
AWD isn’t the only traction technology offered on the RX. Utilizing a network of sensors
that monitor everything from speed, to steering, to braking, the available Vehicle Dynamics
Integrated Management ( VDIM) 16 system can anticipate a loss of traction and help correct
it before it occurs. All within a fraction of a second. The RX can even sense if the wheels
are braking on different surfaces—a wet road on the left and an icy shoulder on the right,
for instance—and add steering torque to either side to help the driver account for
the difference.

At Lexus, our approach to safety is about more than just airbags21 – though you’ll find a class-leading 10 of them
on the new 2013 RX. It’s about pursuing safety from every perspective. One of the outcomes of the 233 crash
tests performed on the RX during development is a reinforced and overlapping pillar design that provides
increased buckling strength and reduces the likelihood of deformation of the area around the pillars. If an impact
does occur, you’re surrounded not only by a 10-airbag system 21 , but active front headrests10 that can move upward
and forward in the event of certain types of rear-end collisions to help prevent whiplash.

1. The Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location.
Road system changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not
available for every city or roadway. Periodic updates available at an additional cost. See your Navigation System Owner’s Manual for further details. Navigational systems in
some vehicles are available with bilingual capability. XM NavTraffic ® requires a monthly service fee and is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel.
NavTraffic will only be available in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto. Both Montreal and Vancouver will only have incident data and Toronto will have both incident and flow
data. 2. The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to
confirm rearward clearance. 3. Mark Levinson is a registered trademark of Harmon International Industries Inc. 4. HomeLink is a registered trademark of Johnson Controls.
5. Functioning Satellite Radio requires a compatible receiver and monthly service fee. Please see your Lexus Dealer for further details. Reception of satellite signal may vary
depending on location. 6. iPod is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. 7. Lexus tests certain Bluetooth ® capable phones for compatibility with Lexus
vehicles. Please see your Lexus Dealer for details. Note that the recommendation of Lexus is not a warranty of the performance for any phone and that some problems may
occur with any type of handset based on the phone software version or the service coverage available in your area. Some vehicles equipped with Bluetooth ® technology are
available with bilingual capability. 8. A single disc DVD player is standard on vehicles equipped with the dual-screen Rear-Seat Entertainment System. A separate DVD player
or game system utilizing the centre console’s video/audio inputs is required in order to use the split-screen function. 9. Headphones are for passenger use only. Do not use
while operating vehicle. 10. Active headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. 11. Maximum output indicates engine plus HV
battery output. 12. The Lexus Hybrids have nearly 70% fewer smog-forming emissions compared against similarly equipped conventional gasoline power vehicles. Based on
North American sales data and Federal Tier 2 engine emission requirements. 13. Ratings achieved using the required premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of
91 or higher. 14. FUEL CONSUMPTION RATING. Fuel efficiency estimates were determined using approved Government of Canada/Transport Canada Test Methods.
Actual fuel consumption will vary based on driving habits and other factors. 15. The RX 450h is not designed to be driven off-road. 16. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and
if applicable Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) are electronic systems designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. They
are not substitutes for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC and VDIM will be effective in
preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 17. Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It
is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions. 18. The Pre-Collision
System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and
attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further information.
19. HAC is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. These suggestions are not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including
speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further
details. 20. The Lexus Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked
regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. Please see your Owner’s Manual for details. 21. All the airbag (“AB”) systems are Supplemental Restraint
Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions;
side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease
the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further
information/warnings. 22. The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your
doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. 23. Smart Stop Technology operates only in the event of certain simultaneous brake and gas pedal applications. When engaged,
the system will reduce engine power to help the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions, driver input can all impact stopping distance.
Smart Stop Technology is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 24. Dynamic
Radar Cruise Control was designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important cautions and
instructions. 25. Roof rack capacity is 130 lb. Crossbars are not recommended for luggage. Please see your Owner’s Manual for details. 26. Before towing, confirm your vehicle
and trailer are compatible, hooked up properly and you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions and cautions from
your trailer-hitch manufacturer and vehicle Owner’s Manual. The maximum amount you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment.
Vehicles in this brochure shown with optional equipment. Some features mentioned and/or shown in this brochure may only be available as part of an optional package.
Under very cold conditions, the operation of some vehicle electronic systems using liquid crystal technology (such as CD, DVD, NAV and Audio displays) may be adversely
affected until a warmer interior vehicle temperature is reached.
Lexus reminds you to place small children in CSA-approved car seats – in the rear seats, to always wear your seatbelts, and to drive safely.
