B RX 350/RX 450h (L15) SECURITY PRECAUTIONS PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY THESE PRECAUTIONS BEFORE THE INSTALLATION • Be sure to disconnect the negative (-) lead from the battery terminals. • Use the correct tool when tightening bolts or nuts. • Do not pinch the rear wiring or har­ ness in the tightened part. • Before drilling a hole, check that the rear of the mounting wall is clear. • When passing the wires through the bulkhead or other panels, use a grommet to ensure water­proo­fing. • Protect the wiring with tape when it is passed through a hole. waterproof - O.K. !! Grommet Insert completely • Be sure to firmly tighten connectors and terminals. Taping • When disconnecting the connectors, be sure to grip the connector body. Do not tug on the wiring. • Do not forcibly pull any car wiring har­ness. Rough tugging may result in opened connections, or a broken wire or har­­ness. (2x) from the luggage trim b) Turn the hook and remove the hook from the luggage trim . : Bolt (1x) FFFFFFFFF 11. (1x) FFFFFFFFF 14. Remove the driver's side rear door scuff plate : Clip (7x) FFFFFFFFF 15. Remove the driver's side trim side panel . : Clip (6x) FFFFFFFFF RX 350/RX 450h (RHD) - 11 03-10 RX 350/RX 450h (L15) SECURITY MOUNTING THE GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR and WIRE HARNESS INSTALLATION 1. Turn the GBS adjustment screw on the GBS ECU to the "10" position. FFFFFFFFF 2. a) Cut the foam in half. b) Use strip of a foam as shown. ECU , attach it to the GBS FFFFFFFFF 3. Attach the microphone shown. to the vehicle's body as CAUTION: •• According to the installation manual apply the Microphone to the vehicle's body. If you do not comply with the installation manual, the GBS system might be malfunction (excessive response or unresponsive). •• Using the cleaning method, clean the area indicated on the vehicle's body. •• Do not touch the adhesive surface on the microphone . •• Do not contact the microphone and the electrical key oscillator . •• Ensure the microphone is firmly attached to the vehicle's body. FFFFFFFFF 2. 2P connector to a) Connect the microphone's the 2P connector of the security wire harness . b) Secure the microphone's 2P connectors to the (1x). vehicle harness using the wire tie FFFFFFFFF 03-10 RX 350/RX 450h (RHD) - 16 RX 350/RX 450h (L15) SECURITY VEHICLE REASSEMBLY 1. a) Refit the driver's side trim side panel driver's side seat side cover . b) Attach the microphone as shown. to the to the vehicle's body CAUTION: •• Make sure the clips (2x) of driver's side trim side panel engage with the rectangular opening (2x) of the driver's side seat side cover . •• Reconnect any disconnected connectors. •• Verify the panels fit together properly, with no uneven gaps.
