Teasing at the performance beneath the hood is a bold exterior of dynamic lines that frame the assertive spindle grille before extending into strongly flared fenders. The standard power rear door features new spindle-type electric motors. A memory function enables the user to set the automatic stop position of the rear door when opened. Power rear door switches are provided on the instrument panel, the wireless remote and the rear door garnish on the bottom end of the rear door. Exploring the stunning cockpit design reveals a meticulously hand-stitched dash and excellent finishes that accent each finely-appointed corner. The seductive innovation in the details presents an exquisite experience, as a whole and to the discerning eye. M O D E L S H OW N R X 45 0 H S E 6 The overall length of the RX 350L model is 110mm longer to accommodate a 7-seat capacity. The front seats and first row of rear seats are made of natural leather, while the second row of rear seats is made of synthetic leather and folds electrically. All rows are air conditioned. I M M E R S I V E AU D I O V I S UA L P OW E R A DJ U S TA B L E S E AT S With Bluetooth and USB capability and 12 or 15 speakers, the audio system incorporates voice-activated navigation system with Remote Touch. Heighten the thrilling performance of the RX with the equally impressive 12.3-inch colour display screen and organic TFT multiinformation display. Both front seats provide lumbar support and are dressed in perforated leather that is both heated and ventilated. A memory system also remembers driver preferences for unquestioned comfort. Like a rugged all-round athlete, the complete design of the RX features enhanced safety technologies to offer peak performance in both offensive and defensive capacities. M O D E L S H OW N R X 45 0 H S E 8 F I N E LY-T U N E D S E N S O R S SAFETY For heightened attention when your eyes are on the road ahead, rear-mounted radar detects the vehicles you can’t see, while an alert icon appears in your side mirror. And when your attention is directed behind you, Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects and notifies if a vehicle is approaching while you back up. The RX features all-round SRS airbags. These include driver and passenger front airbags, driver knee airbag, front and rear side airbags, a passenger seat cushion airbag and curtain shield airbags. The electric parking brake switch is located on the console, eliminating the brake lever to create more space. Auto or manual mode can be selected by holding the switch up or down for several seconds. L A N E - K E E P A S S I S T ( L K A )* P R E - C R A S H SYS T E M * This integrated system predicts if the driver might be about to deviate from the vehicle’s current lane. The system will indicate this in the multi-information display while vibrating the steering wheel or sounding a buzzer to inform and encourage the driver to correct the vehicle’s path. With enhancements in noise reduction, road noise and vibration and bump suppression, the RX surpasses its predecessor, so you can focus on the pure driving pleasure that comes with such robust power. RX 350 The Lexus RX petrol models are powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering 370 Nm of torque at 4600 – 4700 r/min. The RX 450H balances innovation with design and conservation. With Lexus advanced hybrid technology, the RX 450H delivers enhanced fuel efficiency and clean emissions without compromising on performance. THE WORLD’S FIRST LUXURY HYBRID GOES FURTHER Inventing the first luxury hybrid was just the first step to pushing the category further. The RX 450H showcases the next level of hybrid performance. With 230kW of total system output, the RX 450H is making even bigger steps forward with a small environmental footprint. F E AT U R E S LED HEADLIGHTS AUTO HIGH BEAM HEADLAMPS ACTIVE BRAKE LIGHTS LEATHER STEERING WHEEL HEATED SEATS PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR (PVM)* L-shaped LED daytime running lights are standard on all models, while the RX 450H comes standard with Auto triple-high beam LED headlights. An Automatic High Beam system is available on the RX 450H that automatically turns off the high beam headlamps when another vehicle is detected, helping enhance safety during night-time driving and reducing the chance of accidentally dazzling other drivers with the high beam headlamps. Rear light clusters feature an array of LEDs to ensure the RX is highly visible to following traffic. When braking heavily, the brake lights – including the high-level centre LED stop lamp – pulse rapidly to provide an effective warning to following vehicles. A 3-spoke leather trimmed steering wheel has been ergonomically designed for the RX. It is high-grip and tactile with buttons positioned close to the thumb tips. The leather seats have a heating function for the driver and front passenger, with individual controls so that each can find their ideal comfort levels. This adds to the sense of bespoke luxury and is especially welcome in extreme weather conditions. Seat heating extends to the first row of rear passengers in the new RX 350L and 450H models. The Panoramic View Monitor displays a composite image (like a bird’s-eye view), which combines images from cameras mounted on the front, sides and rear of the vehicle, thereby assisting the driver in checking the area around the vehicle. MOONROOF ALL-WHEEL DRIVE AUTO-RETRACTABLE AND DIMMING UPGRADED CENTRE CONSOLE SEAT MEMORY AND ADJUSTMENT REAR SEAT The electric, tilt-and-slide glass moonroof lets the desired amount of moonlight (and sunlight) as well as air into the cabin. One-touch control is quick and convenient, while a manual sunblind provides shade as desired. Stay in control and in style with the available Traction Control all-wheel drive. This intelligent system monitors road conditions in real time, automatically shifting engine power between front and rear axles, while 100% of the power goes to the front wheels during normal driving conditions for improved efficiency. The heated door mirrors can be folded in electrically to help negotiate narrow spaces and, when parked, there is less risk of damage. Electrochromatic technology also dims the mirrors to prevent the risk of being dazzled by following traffic. This features an Electro Multi-Vision screen operated via Remote Touch. The full-colour screen displays navigation and other systems such as audio, climate and hybrid energy monitor on the 450H model. All RX models are fitted with multiple electric seat adjustments and drivers can use the memory function to save their ideal driving position. Front and second row rear seats are electrically adjustable using switches located on the side of the seat base, providing the perfect seating position. The second row of seats on the new RX 350L can be manually split 60:40, allowing passengers to walk in and lounge comfortably into the third row of rear seats which neatly folds away electrically.
