Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 The Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 builds upon the success enjoyed by the Exige Cup 240 during the 2006 season. Based upon the road-going Exige S, the Exige Cup 255 is powered by a 1796 cc supercharged engine driving through a 6-speed close ratio C64 gearbox. Two-way adjustable Öhlins dampers with coil over springs and an adjustable front anti-roll bar provide the Exige Cup 255 with trackfocused, adjustable handling to enable every driver to get the most out of their car. Bespoke performance enhancements designed exclusively by Lotus Sport raise power and torque levels substantially to offer a car with levels of handling and acceleration that are capable of taming Europe’s most challenging race circuits. Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 The Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 features the following upgrades over the Exige Cup 240. All have been developed by Lotus Sport skilled engineers to provide the most dramatic on-track experience possible. • Power increase to 255 PS • Uprated airbox and filter • Uprated roof scoop • Uprated air-to-air charge cooler • Uprated fuel pump • Four-piston, two-piece front brake calipers, with 308 mm front discs and 288 mm rear discs • Level 2 sports exhaust with de-cat pipe (track only option) A power increase to 255 PS is achieved by a number of substantial revisions to the vehicle. A larger roof air intake ensures the intercooler is supplied with an increased volume of air, whilst the revised air box ensures this reaches the combustion chamber with the least possible disturbance. Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 An all-new two-row 50 mm intercooler means air reaches the engine in a cooled, denser state improving combustion within the chamber and ultimately increasing the power and torque output of the engine. Lotus Sport engineers have also revised the fuel system by incorporating a redesigned fuel pump, thus ensuring maximum power output of 255 PS at maximum engine revs. Cup 255 has the stopping ability to match the savage acceleration generated by the new 255 PS engine. Combined with Brembo single-piston sliding rear calipers and 288 mm rear discs, you can be assured of many an overtaking opportunity whilst on the brakes! The four-piston, two-piece front calipers combined with a 308 mm front disc ensure the Exige Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 Engine 2ZZ-GE engine, Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) & aluminium lightweight and compact construction. Chain driven Double Over-Head Camshafts (DOHC) exploiting a Variable Valve Timing & Lift - intelligent (VVTL-i) system. Lotus T4e engine management system, multi-point sequential fuel injection, electronic ignition and electronic throttle control.
