E-Class Hearse & Limousine Based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Introducing a Design Process Without Compromise The latest 213 Series Mercedes E-Class is an evolution from the previous generation. With a consciously refined exterior design and complete overhaul of the interior, Mercedes have pushed the industry forward once again. In setting out to design the Duffy E-Class Hearse & Limousine we took a “no compromise” approach. Our aim was to push the boundaries of the funeral vehicles and exceed our customers’ expectations, all while maintaining traditional design aesthetics in keeping with a timeless and classic style. Introducing a Class Leading Engineering Process The development of the 213 Series Limousine & Hearse was the most advanced development process ever undertaken by Duffy Coachbodies. Utilising state of the art CAD & CAM systems every aspect of the manufacture process was examined from first principles. This aided the design & engineering process and yielded significant improvements both in terms of manufacturing and quality. Introducing Unrivalled Attention to Detail From the first sketch we started to imagine what the new E-Class hearse could be. We choose only the highest quality authentic materials and go to great lengths to ensure our design vision is realised in manufacture. With Finnish glass selected for its optical quality, German aluminium extrusions and Canadian deck fittings for their ornate aesthetic, these are just a few of the details which go into building a Duffy Hearse. Progressive Luxury Prepare for a Leap Forward in Design Duffy Limousines are manufactured with an undisputed “factory finish”. Our latest safety laminated glass roof stretches over the entire passenger compartment, creating an impressively spacious limousine. Our center bench seat was carefully styled to maximise passenger comfort while maintaining its distinctive Mercedes style. The unique panoramic glass roof offers a level of luxury and calm not found elsewhere. No Greater Impression, Imposing & Dignified. A Hearse which combines contemporary styling with traditional proportions. Never before in the industry has a Hearse been so well balanced and stately. The new E-Class hearse was designed with Funeral Directors in mind, taking on board feedback from our customer base we aimed to fulfil their needs and exceed their expectations. Electric Advantage, Rise & Fall Deck The E-Class Hearse is now available with an electrically operated rise & fall deck system. Silent operation allows for discrete usage to facilitate loading and unloading in all situations. The deck system was designed with ease of use, reliability and safety in mind. With multiple automatic checks in place before the deck can be operated, Funeral Directors can be confident the rise & fall deck is suitable for frequent use. Leading the Way, A Limousine Like No Other The E-Class Limousine elevates the luxury segment yet again, pushing the boundaries of exterior and interior design. The vast panoramic glass roof opens the interior of the vehicle and adds to the comfort and luxury. Passengers experience “something special” when stepping into a Duffy Limousine and are left with an extraordinary feeling after their dignified journey. Full passenger isolation divisions are also available as an option. Engineered with shatterproof polycarbonate, extended air ducts and integrated footwells for passenger comfort. Ambitious Intentions In setting out to design the Duffy E-Class Limousine we took a “no compromise” approach. Our aim was to push the boundaries of a ceremonial limousine and exceed our customers’ expectations, all while maintaining traditional design aesthetics in keeping with a timeless and classic style. Ultra High Gloss, Durable Finishing Material selection is not something to be taken lightly, using only the highest quality materials and an uncompromised process is the only way to achieve the desired finish. Working together with world leading coating suppliers we now use a multi-stage environmentally friendly waterbase paint system, combined with an ultra-high solids clear coat on all vehicles, making it possible to meet and exceed OEM standards in terms of depth, texture and gloss level. Expressive Yet Progressive Design The E-Class Hearse stays true to the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy “sensual purity” and represents a modern design in a classic form. Elegant lines flow uninterrupted from the front of the vehicle over a broad waistline emphasised by our curved multi-axis anodised moldings. With a range of up to 50km on electric drive and speeds of up to 140 km/h without engaging the combustion engine.
