Controlling the engine and transmission is the Bosch Engine Management System – EMS. This system employs a torque - demand strategy controlling the engine’s fuelling and ignition based on both the driver’s input and engine operating conditions. This makes for faster and smoother response of the engine when an increase or decrease of torque is required, such as during gear changes or rapid acceleration. And instead of the traditional cable system, the throttle is controlled electronically using Drive by Wire technology.
