It is advisable to seek the assistance of another person when installing this product. Do not remove the warranty label from this cover (8 digit number located on a silver decal). Ensure all torque settings are followed. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or accessory. • Ensure that all discarded vehicle/accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations. • It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Nissan Technician. • Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components. • Ensure that all surfaces to which this accessory will fit are clean and free of dirt. • Ensure all fasteners are torqued to the specifications detailed in these fitting instructions. Use the sachet of grease in the fitting instructions to lubricate the latches of this cover before use. Affix the Closing Instructions sticker found in this kit to the vehicle tailgate so that they are clearly visible to the user of the tonneau cover when the cover is open. Safety Notes • Check that all work practices comply with safety standards. • Appropriate clothing & PPE must be worn. • While using power tools or safety equipment, ensure safe procedures are followed. Manufacturers Warranty: This product carries a manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of installation. Important: Place these instructions in the glove compartment of the vehicle for the benefit of the customer or end user. Nissan (South Africa) Pty Ltd Ernest Oppenheimer St, Rosslyn, Gauteng, 0200 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS Part Name/Description: Applicability: Part No: TONNEAU COVER NISSAN NP300 NAVARA WITH SPORT BAR D23KEKTONRB Fit Time: 45min Step 1 NB: Adhere the large vinyl protector strip "15" to the centre of the cab, just above the the front top rail of the load bin as indicated by the arrow on the right. Open the load bin tail gate. Position brackets "6" and "7" on the inside front part of the load bin as indicated and affix using "12" M8 hex bolts and "14" washers. Ensure that spacer washers "16" are placed between the bracket and the load body. Do not tighten. Repeat this procedure with the "10" front central brackets, making sure that the oblong/slotted hole is at the bottom to allow for adjustment. Do not forget the spacer washers "16". 6 10 10 7 Step 2 Unroll the "1" canvas kit and position the front profile over the front of the load bed and align them with the brackets installed previously in step 1. IMPORTANT NOTE During the installation, lay the canvas over the sport bar or vehicle cabin. Ensure that the canvas kit elastic straps are on the inside of the load bed as indicated by the arrows. Step 3 With the aid of "11" M6 bolts and "13" washers, affix the "6", "7" and "10" brackets to the sliders located in the front aluminium profile of the canvas kit. Whilst applying downward compression on the front rail, tighten all bolts in this front section to 4Nm. Position the longer "8" and "9" rear side profiles over the load bed sides, making sure that the latches are located to the rear. Note: To ensure that the canvas is a taught fit, align the side profiles to the outer edge of the load bed. Note: Should the canvas not be taught enough once the installation is complete, move the rear side profiles backwards to take up any slack in the canvas. 8 2 Step 5 REAR TEIRA R DIAN BA RO SSA TC ROSSDELANTE TRAVEFRON ESAÑO LA M P TRAV C Align the "G" clamps "4" with the "CLAMP" stickers located on the top of the side profile rails and secure as illustrated in the detailed drawing to the right. Torque to 4Nm. Make sure that the side profiles are aligned with the outer edge of the load bed. 3 9 CLAMP ! 4Nm Do not exceed the specified torque 10 Use a 10mm wrench Step 6 Position the crossbars "5" as indicated by the "CROSSBAR" stickers by gently sliding them into place between the aluminium side profiles as indicated. Lay the canvas cover over the load bin. Fit the flexible profiles of the canvas cover to the underside of the side profiles, working from the front to the rear. Refer to the detailed sketch A. With the tailgate open, align the upper and lower latches with one another. TO CLOSE: Close the tailgate. Place one hand at each corner of the cover and firmly press down until a click is heard. The cover is now closed. Check the fitting of the flexible side profiles once again. Fit Time: 45min A CLICK 1 CLICK 2 Step 8 Position the rubber collar firmly aroung the sport bar profile and attach the velcro as indicated. Opening and Closing Instructions: Attach the opening and closing sticker provided in these fitting instructions in a position where it can be read by the user. Step 9 TO OPEN: Open the tailgate. Place one hand on the rear top centre of the cover and gently depress. Using your other hand pull on the cable release and release the downward pressure being applied by the other hand. The latches will release and the rear section of the cover will pop up. 2 1 Disengage the latches. Open the velcro tabs that enclose the sport bar. Once all final adjustments have been made to the side rails and tonneau cover, adhere the two small vinyl protective strips just behind the latches at the rear. LHS & RHS differ and should be fitted so that the vinyl tapers to the inside. Failure to fit these vinyl protectors may result in damage to the paintwork. CLICK CLICK 2 These fitting instructions as well as a video guideline can be found at http://www.keko.co.za/ tonneau-cover-navara-15-80953.html Step 11 IMPORTANT: STOWING YOUR COVER: Carefully loosen the Velcro tabs that surround the sport bar. From the rear of the cover, "unclip/loosen" the flexible side profile strips of the cover from the aluminium side profiles. Roll up the canvas so that the inside of the cover is exposed. Hold the cover in place at the front of the load bin with the aid of both elastic straps by securing it with the plastic buckles. ! IMPORTANT: If only one side of the canvas is locked, the accessory may suffer damages. DO NOT close the tailgate with the tonneau cover locked in the closed position. CLEANING THE TONNEAU COVER: Use only water and mild soap. DO NOT use car shine products. Lubricate the latches regularly.
