PART No: 04997, 04998 & 04999 PRODUCT: Body Harness MAKE & MODEL: LC120 Toyota Landcruiser Prado INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE ENSURE THAT INSTRUCTIONS ARE UNDERSTOOD PRIOR TO FITMENT 1. In the engine bay, locate the vehicle battery (1). 2. Route the power input harness (2) from the battery (1) toward the LHS of the firewall. 3. Locate the main harness grommet (3). 4. Pierce a hole in the grommet nipple (4) and feed the power input harness (2) wires into the vehicle cabin. Note: Do not connect the power input harness to the battery at this point. In the luggage compartment, on the third row seats, remove the cargo hook tie down fasteners (1). 6. Remove the floor cover (2). 7. Remove the third row seat carpet cover (2). 8. Remove the third row seat fasteners (1). 9. Remove the third row seat bracket (2). 10. Remove the fasteners from the LHS third row seat (4). 11. Remove the rear trim (3). 12. Remove the LHS access panel covers (1). 13. Remove the LHS rear seat belt fastener (2). 14. Remove the LHS side trim (3) by first removing any clips or remaining fasteners. In the cabin, remove the LHS under dash garnish (1), by first removing any fasteners (2). 16. Remove the LHS kick panel (1) and front scuff plate (2). 17. Remove the LHS rear scuff plate (1). Locate the power and ground wires that were previously routed into the cabin. 19. Following the diagram on the right, house the two power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (3). 20. Connect the power input harness connector (3) to the body harness mating connector. For P/No: 04998 only. 21. Locate the power and ground wires that were previously routed into the cabin. 22. Following the diagram on the right, house the three power & ground input harness female terminals (3) into the mating connector (4). 23. Connect the power input harness connector (4) to the body harness mating connector. For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only. 24. In the drivers cabin, locate the electric brake controller. 25. Mount the electric brake controller mounting bracket. Route the body harness towards the electric brake controller mounting location. 27. Following the diagram on the right, house the body harness terminals (1) to the corresponding slot on the connector (2). 28. Insert the secondary lock (3) into the connector (2). 29. Connect the body harness connector to the electric brake controller. 30. Route the body harness (1) from the front of the vehicle, along the LHS and behind the ‘B’ pillar towards the rear of the vehicle. 31. Route the body harness (1) towards the tail harness connectors. For P/No: 04998 and 04999 only. 32. Locate the trailer harness (2). 33. Disconnect the trailer harness 8-way connector (2) and the tail harness 8-way mating connector (1). 34. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the trailer harness mating connector (2). 35. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the tail harness 8-way mating connector. Connect the body harness 2-way female connector (1) into the 12-pin tail harness mating connector (2). Note: Any future accessories can be patched in between these two connectors. Total power rating is 30-amps. For P/No: 04998 only. 37. Connect the body harness (1) orange & orange/white wires (2) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3). 38. Connect the body harness (1) white wire (4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3). 39. Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied). For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only. 40. Connect the body harness (1) orange wire (2) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3). 41. Connect the body harness (1) white wire (4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3). Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied). Test the electric brake controller function using a light board or multimeter. 43. Secure all harnesses using cable ties (not supplied). 44. Re-fit all removed parts and secure all fasteners, ensuring there are no squeaks or rattles. 45. Place instructions in glove box after fitment. Issue Date 22-09-10 Page 7
